We've Made It!!

Well we have made it to San Diego. The flight from Melbourne to Los Angeles was very uneventful. The plane left about 45 minutes late but we did make a bit of that time up.

Getting through customs and border protection for me was painless and quick (except for the queueing) Joe however had some issues and was taken away for about 45 minutes or so, some issue with his ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Assistance), he got it sorted out, how ever security point after was slower than it would normally would be as they went through the same issue each time.

Once we get outside of the terminal we had about a a 15 minute wait for the FlyAway bus to Union Station. The bus trip in had some good views of the city. At Union Station we got our e-ticket exchanged for the proper, checked in our bags, then headed out to wander around down town. We didn't get all the way into downtown due to time and heat, it was about 29 or so when we were walking around.

The majority of the buildings close to Union Station are law related, which went well as one of the streets was being closed due to something, Police, fire and a chopper was involved. It wasn't obvious as to what was going on.

Once we got back  to Union Station we grabbed a bite to eat and waited for Train. The train left on time and arrived within a few minutes of scheduled arrival time. The train after getting of the sprawl of Los Angeles follows the Pacific Coast.A quick 15 minute walk to the hotel and we had made our final destination.

After we checked in, Joe made contact with Todd who he ( I and Tony briefly) met during the 2008 Comic-Con. Tony from Area 52, arrived in San Diego from Hawaii about the same time we did. We met Todd at English pub near where we are staying, for drink, before heading off to the Hard Rock Cafe to eat some food. We were joined by Tony soon after.
